About Us
Manga Pill is an online reading platform built for people who take manga seriously. We exist because we believe the manga reading experience online should be defined by quality, not volume, and that readers who care about the craft of the medium deserve a platform that shares that standard.
This page tells you who we are, why we built Manga Pill, and what we stand for.
Our Story
Manga Pill started as a straightforward frustration. The more the online manga space grew, the harder it became to find titles worth reading. Big aggregator sites grew their catalogues in every direction without a filter, and the titles that deserved attention kept getting buried beneath hundreds of low-effort series chasing clicks.
We wanted a different kind of platform. Not the biggest library online, but a focused one. A place where every title in the catalogue is there because it earns its place, and where the reading experience is built around the reader rather than around driving traffic.
That’s what Manga Pill became. A curated manga platform with a clear point of view: quality over volume, craft over novelty, and a clean reading experience that gets out of your way.
What We Believe
Manga deserves better than an aggregator
Most manga sites online operate on a simple model: scrape everything, host everything, monetise everything. The result is massive catalogues where genuinely excellent work sits alongside hundreds of titles that exist only to capture search traffic. We don’t think that serves readers, and we don’t think it serves the medium.
Manga Pill takes a narrower approach. We maintain a library we stand behind, built from titles with real craft behind them. That means we carry less than the biggest sites. We think that’s a feature, not a limitation.
The reading experience should be clean
We built Manga Pill to be comfortable to use. The interface is straightforward, it works well on both desktop and mobile, and we don’t interrupt reading with the kind of aggressive advertising that makes other platforms difficult to use. If you open a chapter, you should be able to read it without fighting the page.
We have a point of view, and we’re honest about it
We made the deliberate decision to stop hosting manhwa after the content being produced and shared at volume in manhwa communities shifted heavily toward lowest common denominator smutty romance. That’s a content creator’s choice to make, but it’s not the direction we want Manga Pill to go.
We’d rather be a platform with a clear identity than one that tries to serve every trend. If you’re looking for that kind of content, there are platforms that specialise in it. Manga Pill is for readers who want something more.
What We Cover
Our catalogue spans the major manga categories: shonen, shojo, seinen, josei, and a range of standalone and genre-crossing titles that don’t sit neatly in any single box. We cover both long-running series and complete works, and we update regularly as new chapters are released.
Within those categories, we focus on titles with genuine storytelling value. That includes action series with well-constructed plots, romance manga with actual character development, psychological and horror titles that use the medium well, and classic works that shaped manga as an art form. We’re not chasing what’s trending this week. We’re building a library that holds up over time.
Our Standards
Every title we carry has been considered, not just scraped. We look for craft: writing that goes somewhere, art that serves the story, and series that give readers a reason to stay beyond the first chapter.
We also maintain our catalogue. Series get removed if they stop meeting the standard, and we review reader feedback when something isn’t working. The library you browse today reflects deliberate choices, and we keep making those choices rather than letting the catalogue drift on autopilot.
A Note on What We’re Not
We’re not a complete archive of every manga ever published. We’re not trying to host every genre, every platform, or every reader. We made a specific choice about what Manga Pill is and what it isn’t, and we hold to that.
We’re also not a community platform in the social media sense. Manga Pill is a reading platform. It’s built for the experience of reading manga well, not for engagement metrics or content discovery algorithms. If you want a recommendation, our catalogue is organised to help you find something. If you want to talk about manga, we’re reachable through our contact page and we read what comes in.
Get in Touch
If you have a question about the site, a title you’d like to suggest, or feedback about the reading experience, our contact page is the place to reach us. We’re a focused team, but we do read what comes in and we take it seriously.
